I don't see where I am getting the +33% from my Research Cloister? Also since I can only build one of these and not build them every where, is that +33% supposed to enhance all my planets?

Someone please tell me in extreme detail what I need to do to make the screen shot appear here. I spent 15 minutes googling around and have no clue.

you're getting 40% from the research cloisters not sure why off hand and im pretty sure it gets a +2 adjacency bonus as opposed to the +1 regular research buildings get i also think that can be upgraded to 50% and +3

The 40% are most likely lvl bonus that the research Cloister gets (you can see it has 8 lvls at the screenshot)

edit:

<Stats>
<EffectType>Research</EffectType>
<Target>
<TargetType>Faction</TargetType>
</Target>
<BonusType>Multiplier</BonusType>
<Value>0.33</Value>
</Stats>

This is the xml part, not sure if Research Bonis to Faction do work though

Yes, 40% is the bonus from being level 8 due to adjacency but where is my 33% from the building itself?

Hmm, I allways say a jump in the research graph when I build it, so I guess it does work.

I thought I noticed that as well, so I loaded my save and deleted the it and it seems that it provides about +33% to your combined research total, making it very powerful!

Just did a quick test on this.  Pre build; total research/turn =10488, Post build ; total research/turn =13950 (up 33%).  I put it on an isolated hex so no adjacency bonus.   The strange thing is no individual planet shows the increase.  It look like its working but not showing in the tool tip, witch is a bug.  You should move this to support

Not a real bug. It does not increase planetary research(for the non-level effect), so your planets do not display it. However, it stacks multiplicatively with your other research, so it's FAR better than 33% per planet bonus.

At first i was going to say hu whats the difference, it should be the same thing;  then i remembered how all planetary bonuses are additive, good catch.  At the least it is confusing
