Turn Off Folder Portal Navigation??

Is there a way to turn off folder portal navigation? My subfolders have way to many icons for the size of the main folder window and nothing looks right.  I'd like to be able to just open the folder the normal windows way but I cant find any setting to disable the new navigation

Holding the ctrl key down when double clicking will open the sub-folders

Any chance an option can be added to change the default behaviour when double clicking folders in a folder portal? It's more convenient for me to just double click a folder to have it open in a new window rather than holding ctrl and clicking or using the "Open in a new window" right-click option.

Do you mean this one?  ;)

 

(It is per-fence though.  A global option might be possible.)

I'll be honest, Fences controls can be almost anywhere.  We need to work on that.
