Icon Spacing

As there are some posts about this seemingly solved (Looks normal here) or abandoned I'm adding my additional infos:

(Its still present in Fences 3)

OS: Win7 Ultimate @ 1920 x 1080

Icon Spacing Horizontal: 55 (standard: 82)

Icon Spacing Vertical: 45 (standard: 43)

I'm using fences and desktop items at the same time

After Setting the spacing via "Window Color and Appearance" window the icons within the fences move, the desktop icons need a reboot (or re-login?)

The spacing of top-left to top-left between icons is 103 x 94 pixels inside and 87 x 104 pixels outside of the fences which makes it almost impossible to align them properly

around the icon-spaces within the fences (around the markings) are:

left: 8, right: 9 (17 inbetween)

up: 5, down: 3 (8 inbetween)

on the Desktop seem to be:

left-right: 2

up-down: 19

(slight errors possible)

Bonjour,

Effectivement serait-il possible de modifier l’écartement par Default des icônes dans les docks.

Have you tried setting the icon size on the desktop with "Control + Shift + 1/2/3/4"? (Using Windows 10, not sure if it matters)

I personally roll with Ctrl + Shift + 3 Icon size, personal preference. I have never tampered with icon spacing in the the windows options, so its entirely possible the error only arises with use of that.

Also, you can go to Task manager and highlight Windows Explorer and select "Restart" on the bottom to refresh the icons and stuff on the desktop.

Works for me when I have ghost files that aren't actually there I can't seem to get rid of without restarting my computer.

for those still not knowing what I mean I have created and uploaded some screenshots:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B-wuklXa7GSBck4xR0VBMmVBTUk?usp=sharing

the settings are on the right (Regedit and WinAero Tweaker Values)

And no - I don't care about the Size of the icons but the spacing.

Screenshots were made with a fresh Windows 10, but Windows 7 was the same.
