What did I miss?

Navigating Folder Fences

I just updated to 3.0. and need help.  In version 2.x, clicking on a folder in a Folder Fence brought up the folder contents (hierarchy) in the traditional Windows format.  Now, it opens up the folder contents in the same fence.  That would be all right, except there is no "back" button, to get back to the top of the original hierarchy.  That's a killer for me.  What did I miss?

There should be an arrow just to the left of the Fences label where you can go back.

I wish that were true, but it's not.  Pressing that arrow rolls-up the fence so all I see is the title bar.  It's not a 'back' button.

I just downloaded 3.1 and the behavior is now as you describe.  The up arrow does do a 'back'.

Is this configurable?  This is not well thought-out.  If you click on a folder, and the folder contains a large number of sub-folders, you can't see the entire folder list without going through the painful "fence-scrolling" process with the skinny sliding bar THAT DOES NOT WORK!

I appreciate the feedback.  If you Fence has so many sub-folders it may not be a good candidate for a portal fence.  You could switch to a list view or you could re-size the fence too.
