Rollup fences having issues

We love Fences 3, but when a rollup fence is opened and it covers existing desktop icons under it, when you pass the mouse through the fence to select an icon in the fence window, the icons in the background desktop interfere. Also, if you unroll a fence and another fence still rolled up exist behind it, they fence will open when you come cross it. This is very annoying and confusing and makes it not worth using. I can fade out the background to a certain degree, but not 100%, so you can still see the icons behind the fence when unrolled. Any solution to this?

Thanks for reporting this.  Perhaps I am not understanding though.

In the linked video I have two rolled up fences near each other and a few icons outside the fences.  They do not appear to be interfering with each other.

How is your set-up different?

It happens when you remove the fence from Roll-up mode. When you move it, it moves the desktop icons around on the desktop.

I have attached a video of what is happening. During video, there are no mouse clicks at all, just moving the move over fences. Notice when some fences roll open and you try to move mouse to icon within, the underlying fence opens instead. The only way to select the icon is to either double click in the fence heading area for force it to stay open, or move off the right side of all the fences and just open the one you want, but on some fences it will not open the underlying. I can fix the underlying fence from opening by double clicking the header for that fence and then it won't open when another fence is on top. Just not sure why this happens. Any ideas?

thanks for the video jstafford

I tried to recreate it using the 3.01 build from last Friday and have been unable to repeat your experience.

See my video here: http://screencast.com/t/WxLT1BhBa

What build are you using?  Did you upgrade or do a clean install?  Did you reboot after the installation?

Yes to reboot, but something unusual with version...

On about page, it shows Stardock Fences 3 in upper top left, then near copyright symbol top/center, is shows Version 2.91?

I just clicked Check for Updates and there was a 9 meg update available, so installing it now to see what happens.
