Microsoft Word Background Too Dark

Office 2016 background won't change

I am using Windows 10 Pro, and Microsoft Office 2016, when I apply a skin (does not matter which one) the background in Word documents are dark and the fonts colored to match the skin. I have attempted to exclude the WINWORD.EXE file, in the WB settings under "per application" settings, and that does not help. I have even tried to apply a different skin (a lighter one) to apply only to WINWORD.EXE and obviously that didn't brighten the background any either... Any help is GREATLY appreciated, I use MS Word too much, so WB might get uninstalled if I can't exclude it from the skins (last resort)

system info:

Windows 10 Pro (10586.th2_release_sec.160328-1908)
WindowBlinds 10 (010 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Wblind.dll 2016/03/14 12:56:37
Wblind64.dll 2016/03/14 12:56:37
Wbsrv.dll 2016/03/04 08:54:32
WB10Config.exe 2016/03/15 13:15:26
Wbload.dll 2016/03/07 10:16:47
Screen.exe 2015/12/02 08:52:27

Thank you for the help, hope there is a solution.

In the help section of Word (the little light bulb) and ask it for page color. You can then select a page color such as white or very light gray, and this will solve the problem in Office. For other programs that just use the default system setting, such as notepad, well you will just have to live with the theme color. It should not be black however, so the above poster's suggestion should be looked at first.

Reply number 5 in this thread may also help. My issue was specific to Excel 2016, but I imagine the issue is similar to yours.

End of Borg999's quote

Actually you may want to start with reply #3. This is with any version of Office actually. I use 2010 and does the same thing so I try hard to make all my skins so they will work on office as it also effects Outlook which I use 24/7
