Game crashes after some minutes of playing

Hey developers team,

first of all I would like to say good work guys! I like this game, so i'm sad that it crashes so often.

When playing skirmish game it sometimes crashes. Actually in Campaign and week 4 it always crashes after some minutes. When I save the game every 5 minutes and load it again it does not crash.

But after finishing the week4 now, there is no more menu available to finish the game.

So I know 2 problems in 1 post is *buuuhhh* ;-)

Would like to support you for solving the issues as soon as possible.

 

1. output.log:

tlsf_create: Pool size must be between 3208 and 1073745020 bytes.
Crash!!!

 

2. screen after the campaign round:

The Return to the Campaign and nothink to click any more. Also Return, Esc, etc.. do not work. Only killing the exe helps out.

 

If you tell me where to find the campaign savegame I can send it to you, if needed.

Also, adjacency seems to be busted in next_version (B11).

Are you sure you weren't just on a "No Adjacency" map? Those happen in the campaign. Avoid them like the plague.

 

Nevermind, you're not in the campaign. Ignore me. This is a modifier that can be applied to the game though, and in the campaign the tooltip displays exactly as it is here.

Next version updates pretty frequently, usually these updates invalidate previous campaign saves.

Good morning Soren,

starting a new campaign and click on campaign settings. There are some buttons missing to come back to the main screen and close the settings window. But it was possible to go to the next campaign menu only the settings stay on the top. In the menu to hire stuff it's not possible to do anything in the menu.

 

So a restart brings me back to the hire menu.

As you can see the count of current patents shows "current 2 after hire 3" but the game was just started so it's now zero and after hire 1 which is shown correctly at the bottom.

 

And the game still crashes after some minutes of playing the campaign.

We'll have a new next-version for you on Monday. Let's see if that fixes things. (You may also want to delete yout Offworld folder in My Documents and try a full reinstall.)

I've got another major B11 issue for you Soren. There is no menu when you select a tile. There's no on/off, ship resources, or deconstruct options even though I have a farm selected. I can't disable these farms that are losing money, nor can I deconstruct the buildings to replace them with something better. It's like having a permanent network virus on all buildings at all times.

Between, I got a new computer yesterday. Completly new hardware and reinstalled everything. But still crashing with the pool size error.

I'll have a look on the game tomorrow with the new update. :)

Okay great update Soren! :)

Settings in campaign is fixed.

Hire staff is fixed.

Could play 2 rounds without a crash so it seems to be fixed too!  :grin:

 

Will try a multiplayer game tomorrow to see if there works everything fine.

Soren do you need support in translation to german? There are a lot of menu items which are not translated yet.
