WB 8.13 icon disappeared from hidden icons taskbar "box"

Have been running WB 8.13 since it was released in Oct 2015 (and earlier versions before that) and never had any problems.

But then today, when I wanted to change the Style, I opened the hidden icons box in the taskbar -- and the WB icon was missing!

I know WB was still running because the existing style was still in effect on the desktop.

Since I couldn't find any way to restart WB, I uninstalled it, rebooted, opened Object Desktop Manager, reinstalled WB 8.13 from there.

The screen blinked a couple of times, and the style, and the WB icon were back.

I did a bunch of Windows Updates yesterday -- which is the only recent change.

Just wondering if anyone else running Win8.1 64-bit has run into the same problem.

You could've opened Windows Blinds from the Stardock folder in 'All Programs'.

WB 8.13? My WB is 8.12 since a long time, has not received any new updates. And now WB10 is out.

Where did you get WB 8.13 from?

My icon disappears sometimes. A reboot or go to the WB settings from the programs menu uncheck the "Show icon in sys tray" box then check the box again and reboot.

But as fictitiousfellow said: You could've opened Windows Blinds from the Stardock folder in 'All Programs'.

Al, if you tick the box in Object Desktop Manager, you will receive notification about updates. Not sure shikhansu has OD Manager, which can be downloaded free from stardock.com.

Doc yea I know OD will tell you that there are updates but it won't automatically update WB. If it does I haven't experienced it, I wait for notifications here on WinCustomize.
