Icon Catastrophe

I moved a single file, not in any of my fences, to a folder not on my desktop, by dragging its icon to the target folder while holding down the shift key.

The result was that the file was moved, but also almost all of the files inside my fences were moved along with it. Fortunately I am a compulsive "backupper" and had a disk image on hand to restore order. But without that, it would have taken hours to put back all of the files, since I have 6 fences containing over 100 icons.

I am posting this as a "heads up" for other users. I am running windows 10 pro.
