installing windowblinds 10 help

  trying to install windowsblinds 10 on me  laptop  

getting this   message

PLEASE REBOOT TO COMPLETE THE WINDOWBLINDS UNINSTALL BEFORE PROCEEDING  

 

getting this message every time i try to install it

I'd love to know how you got it installed, I can't install

MY system or Stardocks thinks Windows Blinds 10 is installed but I can't see it when I open desktop manager

Any ideas.

 

I've installed it 5 times now I just keep getting the message"WindowBlinds does not appear to be installed correctly on your machin, would you like to try to fix this now" I press,  yes it thinks for 30 secs  and does nothing.

This usually means some sort of helpful AV app has broken something.

Assuming you did a clean install (remove previous WB if any, reboot and then install)

look like  my old version of windowblinds  was not remove completely  

 

i have to delete  all  windowsblinds folders  and remove some stuff from  the  registry

then it installed ok......

Yeah your right, went through the forum last nite its a fault known to the devs and ESET av they posted how to fix it, it seems to be working fine now.

wow.. i've been at it for days. Fixed.

 

I tried a lot of things... each change, I tried again.

There was no uninstall even though error said I needed to uninstall first. I uninstalled panda antivirus.. no help. disabled windows defender... no joy. I deleted everything in my registry that referred to window blinds... seems stuff was inserted even though it wouldn't install. still wouldnt work.

I looked into my program files(x386) and saw a window blinds folder... deleted that. tried again.

it worked
