Unable to install windows blinds 10

Dear concerned,

 

I have paid for Object Desktop, unfortunately without checking what all it had were compatible with windows 10 or not. Nevertheless, I should say I knew deep down that I shall get updates on the non compatible items, esp., the windows blinds.

 

Morning, I was in for a happy surprise when I got the link to download the new Windows blinds 10.

 

But! I was in for another sad surprise that despite downloading it twice, once direct download another using object desktop platform, I could not install it.

 

I do not know why but the installation never starts and it is stuck and non responsive.

 

Please support.

I was able to install Object Desktop Manager. I could download and install fences, Start10 only. I did install theme manager (free) but I guess the related stuff is incompatible with windows 10.

 

Then, came the Windows Blinds 10 which i tried to download and then Install but after getting downloaded there was no response when it was installing.

 

It got stuck and no result, had to close it eventually.

 

Please help.

Log on here: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products and download WindowBlinds and install. ODM has issues and is unreliable.

I wish I could provide you with the screenshots.

But I checked it again today, Its getting stuck at wbload.dll

 

I hope someone finds a solution to this error.

Have you tried disabling your Antivirus and any other antimalware apps you may have running during install? Those can cause installs to fail.

Hello, Thank you for responding. I did uninstall my antivirus to install this but I do not know why I still wasn't able to install the software.

 

Regarding the Ticket. I raised a ticket at the start and they closed the ticket unceremoniously..

 

Check the details yourself!!

 

 They CLOSED IT without a plausible answer.

What do they mean? I dont know. I did purchase the whole OBJECT DESKTOP and I did download it and installed FENCES and the menu option, other services like I mentioned in earlier posts where all not compatible with Win 10. Then I received an email saying that they have released a compatible version of WindowsBlinds '10', which failed the installation.


This was the request, this was what the ticket was raised for. If the support says that the are closing the ticket because of some reason implausible I am really disappointed. 


My issue is they did not or do not have the facility to check the reason or the subject of the ticket.


Please help.


I told you antivirus has been uninstalled, the software installation still gets stuck.

Are you using Object Desktop Manager to download and install? If so, try going to your downloads page in the Stardock Store, download and run the installer on its own. ODM isn't all that reliable.

shoebhakeem123 .... please do not post the contents of private emails [from support] on a public forum.

Preferably open a new ticket with https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit 

...and it can be looked into.

The closure may be in error, or alternatively caused by subsequent correspondence.

I give up on this. I do not really have time enough for all this. The only thing that i can do is recommend all to check before buying any software. YOU MAY END UP LIKE ME!!

 

Anyways, thank you so much guys. Though I could not benefit much here, the software remains uninstalled and appreciate the concern of JAFO. I do not believe in his support forums nor do I wish to be patient anymore.
