Attack+move issues

Wondering if I'm doing something wrong with hotkeys or if the code is a little buggy.  Sometimes I'll select my hotkey group and order them to attack (hitting A + left click) and instead the game forgets that it was an attack move and i have to right click to erase the command (the mouse has the target reticle on it but left clicking does nothing), re-select the units and then issue the attack move again.  Been doing RTS games for 20 years so the behavior is weirding me out.  Happens almost every game.

It happens fairly often to me.  Seems to be tied to where I click when I give the move order.  Clicking on or too close to another unit or structure does exactly what you are saying.  For those of us who want 10,000 units on the board, that happens a lot.
