WindowBlinds 10 Interferes with Windows Accessory Apps

Windows Accessory Apps Won't Load

Hello,

I am using the following version of Windows 10 WindowBlinds:

Windows 10 Pro (10586.th2_release.160104-1513)
WindowBlinds 10 BETA (005 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS

Wblind.dll 2015/12/17 04:45:ll
Wblind64.dll 2015/12/17 04:45:43
Wbsrv.dll 2015/12/02 05:52:18
WB10Config.exe 2015/12/17 04:45:08
Wbload.dll 2015/12/02 05:52:48
Screen.exe 2015/12/02 05:52:27

I've noticed that when WindowBlinds10 is loaded none of the Windows Accessory Apps will load.  They appear to load, but never appear and do not appear in the Task Manager as running.

If I unload WindowBlinds 10 the apps will load and appear normally.

I am not seeing that problem. All my MS apps load fine with WindowBlinds running and applied.

What antivirus / antimalware software are you using as that is not normal.

Hello Neil,

I am using Bitdefender Total Security 2016.  Subsequent to my initial post I tried using the configuration setting that does not change the settings of these apps by not having them skinned which has allowed them to run and appear.  So as I run into additional apps that won't run correctly I am chanigng their skin settings to see if that resolves the issue.

BitDefender will almost certainly be the issue here.  I suspect all 64 bit apps refuse to start.

I will get it installed on a box to see if there is anything we can do or if it is their end.

I have reproduced the problem and it is being triggered by Bitdefender active threat control being enabled.

This has been resolved in the next update of WB 10.
