New Icons don't show on desktop

Dear Fences and Forum Users,

 

I am using Fences for a while now and it works almost perfect. I have settup my dekstop with a few fences to organise all my icons and folders but since recently I noticed that something was wrong and I cannot relate where it comes from.

When I make a new dekstop icon (like copy from a VM ware or folder somewhere on my PC) it will show for like 1 second and then dissapear. I know it is still on the desktop because if I browser to my desktop in folders I can still see it there among all other icons but it is not visible on the dekstop itself.

I have disabled hiding in fences aswell as other desktops (the switching between dekstops)

I can get the icon visible again with a workaround (open a folder and browse to the desktop, Cut the icon and place it in a different folder, then drag the icon to the dekstop (Real desktop)) but I just want to be working normally again.

Anyone had an idea what causes this problem and/or how to fix it?

I'd first make sure you are using the latest v2.13 from your account:

Does the shorcut actually point to something on that PC or to something on a network?  If the latter, there is a known issue that some will be missing if the drive is ever unavalable for even a moment.

A work around would be creating a folder (anywhere off the desktop) and creating a Fences Folder Portal to it:
