[SOLVED] Windows 8 and Windowsblinds 8 Black Explorer Background

Hi,

I have recently installed Wndowsblinds 8 on my Windows 8.1 machine. All updates have been done on my machine as well as having the latest Windowblinds update of 8.10.0.

Up until recently I have had no problems. But now, for some reason, I am getting a black explorer background on every skin I try to apply, even on the skins supplied by Stardock and the font is unreadable as well.

OS: Windows 8
WB: Windowblinds 8.10.0

I have had Windowblinds 8 on my Windows 8 machine in the past and have had no issues whatsoever. I recently reinstalled Windows 8 after trying 10 for a bit didn't care for it at this time. But I wiped the hard drive completely and reinstalled 8 fresh. For a week or so, I had no problems with Windowblinds but now I get the black background. I thought it might be the skin, so I switched to another one and that didn't fix the problem.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, I apologize if this problem has been addressed in another thread.

Thanks in advance,
Jason

FIX for BLACK EXPLORER BACKGROUNDS

Click Backgrounds > Click Explorer Background > Slide "ACTIVE WINDOW OPACITY" Slider to FAR RIGHT.

That, for some reason fixed my problem. Don't know why it did because I have never changed the opacity settings ever so don't know why this fixed it.

Latest WB Version is 8.13.0 not 8.10.0. Maybe that allready solves your problem...

Oh yeah, wasn't at home last night. Looked on the My Downloads page and looked at the wrong version number. I am using WB 8.13. So that wasn't an issue.

I did find a fix though.
