I have used Fences for several years and liked it very much but the truth is it just doesn't work with Win10. It really messes up my desktop. I don't see why Stardock doesn't just admit it isn't ready for Win10 and does not encourage people to download it.
I use fences on 6 Windows10 machines with no problems whatsoever. Jafo reports the same. Just saying.
Yes, 6 machines...2 on 7, 4 on 10 ...all just fine...;)
It's still important to note that Win 10 is a live beta. Even if everything's fine...it might not be on the next unwanted/forced update...;)
It would help if you list what is actually happening.

When I try to drag a new shortcut or icon to a fence using windows 10, I get a circle with a line in it can't seem to move anything since I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 any suggestions?
Right click your desktop, under the "view" section, be sure that "lock desktop" is unchecked.
Also check Kiosk Mode in Fences settings to be sure it is unchecked there. See pic.
Thanks bunches - you must have a spiffier version - i'm just using the $9.99 flavor. It doesn't have kiosk - but what I did do, is the auto arrange, and that took all of the loose icons and short cuts and put them in a fence the system thought they belonged. So that was better than not at all. I still think it's windows 10 cuz that's the only thing I know that changed. Thanks for taking the time to reply - Merry Christmas 
Yes. Only thing I can think of is that I had FencesPro, back when there was one. But I doubt that has anything to do with it.
