Game Ends though Turn Limit is Off

Hey, I'm 19 hours into a game and all of the sudden, the game ends because of turn limits! The problem is, i have the turn limit end turned off and a glance at victory conditions confirms this: it says turn limit victory is off and that I have unlimited turns before the game ends, but the game ends anyway.

To add insult to injury, there's a "continue playing" button on the lower left after the game ends, but it's grayed out and I can't click it.

Is there any way to continue this game, like with a console command or something? And will all my games end like this? If so, game's not really worth playing if it's going to end as soon as it gets exciting each time.

Wow, I've never played anywhere near enough turns to hit the limit, maybe it never got tested during the beta.  I know I tried every victory condition except that one.  Wish I could help you.  By the way, how many turns was the limit?  And I wonder if it varies by map size (I almost always play large or huge).

I'm guessing it was around a thousand turns, but I wasn't counting because I wasn't expecting it to end!
