When you see your Founder Name Star in game and it's a total let-down.

Starting a new thread because the old thread: https://forums.galciv3.com/453553/page/1/#3484190 appears to be closed.

Well, I did finally see my star in game last night (I was sandboxing, Immense size map and it took 30-something turns - fair nuff). BUT. One stinking lousy 0 Level Planet. I mean, WTF?

Has anyone found their namestar and has it been halfway decent? ie at least one Level 15+ planet?

I've seen my star twice, once it had a decent planet (class 13 if I recall) and once no usable planets.

[BTW, the forums are really dead today, is everyone off playing Fallout 4?]

Still yet to see my Founder star, though I often play games where I absorb zero of the star or planet names.

Since being a founder from the very beginning days, I've only seen my star once. But it was a class 20 Planet that was a toxic paradise! It struck me as particularly funny and appropriate as a joke seeing my star was named after a relative. So I took a picture of it and sent it to him. We both got a good laugh about it.

I have yet to see mine in a game yet. Named after the daughter of course...

Yeah... never seen it in game yet....

Would be cool if there was a way we could input a code into our game to make it so our planet was ALWAYS in every map but that's probably a pure pipe dream.

I have yet to see mine. Don't be let down if it doesn't have good planets, we weren't promised that and of course its solar system should be random like other stars.

I've never seen my star name ingame, but I did double check to make sure it's in the .xml.  Just knowing it's there is enough for me.  That, and the thanks they posted to founders in the credits.  It took a while, but I finally saw my name in there.

Well they should be rare or it would look weird. Also it`s a little meglomaniacal getting upset because your planet hardly shows and when it does it`s not good enough. It`s probably randomised. You seriously didn`t expect YOUR name to come up all the time? be happy to know it is in the ... list.

I can't remember what name I submitted, so I can't be disappointed?

It would be interesting if star names could have traits associated with them like "barren", "toxic", "small", "large".

I keep looking for my "Howling Dog" star but it has never been sighted.

Before I knew that some of you guys had your names as systems, I did notice some names in game that seemed slightly out of place and I wondered if they were the names of the Devs`s family and friends? Well now I know!

I've seen that!  Probably in my last game.  I might have invaded it.

Well, no. But since there's some people on here upset because frogboy and co won't let them play GalCiv3 the way they want to (see: removal of planetary wheel and ensuing argument) why shouldn't I be upset that My Named Star has only shown up once and when it did it was lousy? After all, this is my game and I damn well paid for it!!

The Waaaammbulance is just coming up my driveway as I type this.

Only seen my star name once, and it was actually a good system! Think it had class 15 and 10 planets or something similar.

If it's a pipe dream then the pipe destination is "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\data\English\Text\StarNamesText.xml"
