Tech Tree differences?

this question seems to pop up a lot from what I can see but I cant find any solid info.

so what is the differences between the tech trees? so far ive played terran, thalan and basic. now I can see (some of) the differences between terran and thalan (gravitronics, dimension buffs and the ascention building changes + new hyperion tech structure) but I noticed no differences between basic and terran, and from what I hear from a friend on the drengin other than some name changes its the same as the terran.

I won't list them all, and you really have to play each faction to understand them anyway. That said, Terran and basic are the same. The Drengin get the slave pens, their factories and labs are not as good but give military adjacency, and I'm pretty sure they have some differences in their weapons as well.
