Windows 8 release date Oktober 26, 2012

This stuff just takes time, consider that the Team of Stardock or staff is not that big.
I think i read something that they expanded the team, i think that it will not take as long this time.
Hope this helps.

WindowBlinds works for what is listed as supported. WindowBlinds 10 is in development for Windows 10

Some correct me if I'm wrong but really think I read this in the past.

If you have OD Infinite and cancel you can't get it back again. You would have to purchase the full Object Desktop. For me WindowBlinds and skin studio alone are worth the wait. But I do always have and use Object Desktop as I would rather pay for the year instead of each month.

ok thanks much appreciated I will wait a while then.i understand it takes time I just thought that 6 months was a long time.i realised I purchased it for windows 8,was just curious that's all.windowblinds 8.12 never really worked that well for me in windows 8 and skinstudio 8 was always crashing whilst trying to make a skin.the new start 10 works really well but fences 2.90beta has issues in windows 10 for sure.

hi davebax  do you think I,ll be better off just buying the yearly version once its fully windows 10 compliant or just stick to monthly

a quote from Microsoft says windows 10 will never be final it will be an evolving os with new features and updates when ready.this is why I was wondering because I read on the forum that there waiting for a final release,i assume they was waiting for general puplic release.as it will never be in final form.

WindowBlinds 10 is in development. I don't have an exact time of when a beta will be available, but we're working to get it done as soon as possible.

If Win 10 is going to be an ongoing thing then the customization apps will have to evolve too methinks. Just a thought.

I can't wait for it. I really hate the Windows 10 design and I want to use the theme, I think it's called Perfection? On it. I want my 3D buttons back! :D

I don't know what is best for you. Paying monthly may be easier for many people.

A couple facts for you to consider. You have to decide how long you wish to keep the customizing options. If you stay on the monthly it will cost you $47.88/yr. If you purchase the yearly sub of Object Desktop it will cost you $49.99 for the first year. However after the first year if you want to continue it will only cost you $29.99/yr to renew each year. That includes all updates for everything that is included in OD.

Again I'm not telling you which way to go just wanted you to see the options available.

Actually Dave, Infinite is $53.88 a year, the first month is $9.99 I believe. Makes more sense to buy the full version at $49.99 to me if you can afford it shaunvickers, then it's a lot cheaper every year thereafter.  :)

you are correct Tom for the fist year because the first payment is $9.99. But after that they are all $3.99/mo as long as you keep it. That is how I came up with that figure since he is already on it he has already paid the $9.99.

I agree that if you are going to stay here Object Desktop is the way to go especially after the first year it's only $29.99/yr. You also continue to get all updates to the OD programs.

Now bring on WB and SKS.

Tired already? If you have old hdd install Win 7 or make a dual boot.
End of Destrohelix's quote

I agree, that is what I did. I run Windows 10 on my laptop and installed Windows 7 on an external Seagate USB 500gb hard drive. I have windows 7 set in bios to boot first and if I want Windows 10 I simply restart and unplug the Seagate. I was dual booting for a while but I think my laptop hard drive is getting bad so if it does go at least I have my external as a backup until I replace the bad internal hard drive.
