Can a fence become a folder

Can a fence become a folder?

And can that folder contain sub-folders with files with other sub-folders that also contain files?

A folder can become a fence. It's called a portal.

Dunno if the reverse is possible, doubt it.

Okay, I created a folder portal - naming it "Customers."  I then dragged and dropped a folder with a customer's name inside.  Now I'd like to copy and paste the Customers portal folder, but I don't see a way to do that.

Got any ideas?

A folder portal is linked with an actual folder that is selected upon creation.

Meaning that I have the actual folder when I create from it the portal folder.

Since having Stardock over the past few years, I've always had a non-portal fence called Customers.  In a standard non-portal folder, I have to open it to see and then click on its sub-folders to see their content.  I'm hoping the portal folder can contain all my active customers, each of them visible within the portal fence, and each of them being open-able by double clicking on them, as in a standard folder.  However, I also want to be able to copy and paste the portal-folder, which I'll call Customers, like I can now do with that standard folder.  Can that be made to happen?

It seems that it would be theoretically possible to make a Junction and make this work.

Not sure if the folder portal is a symbolic link or a junction itself.

Again its theoretically i dont know if that will turn out ok and alright with the software in praxis.
I would try using a symbolic link (OS winvista or win7) and point at that fence or i´d try to make a junction that is directed at the fence.(file)
But then again it would be easier to just create a junction and make a shortcut of it and drop it into the fence.
Yet it would be interesting to know if the above works.
