Universal Apps

icon color

The Universal App menu in the Start10 menu shows the Microsoft icons as black. In the main 'All Programs' menu the Microsoft Universal Apps icons are white. Having the Start10 Universal App icons black shows them poorly on darker colored Task Bars.

Could you please fix this.

Thanks

I am confused here.

The colour of the icons in the Universal apps popup menu has no impact on what icon is used when the app runs.  We use black versions there as the menu itself has a light background and white would be near invisible.

When is this causing a problem?  Could you post a screenshot please.

Hi Neil,

My apologies, I should have been more clear.  It seems that the function 'Pin to Taskbar' is not available, when Start10 is set to either the Windows 7 Style or Modern Style, for icons of the 'All Programs/Universal Apps' folder, where the icons are white.

The function, 'Pin to Taskbar' is available from the Start10 menu flyout for the 'Universal apps' where the Icons are black.

If Start10 is set to the 'Windows 10 style', the function 'Pin to Taskbar' is available for the white Universal Apps icons that are now shown in the alphabetical listing. I can then pin these icons to my Taskbar, then go back to my preferred 'Modern Style' menu.

So the problem lies with providing the function 'Pin to Taskbar' for the Universal Apps icons listed in the 'All Programs/Universal Apps' folder when the style is set to either Windows 7 or Modern.

Pinning these lighter icons to my Taskbar works better and some of them, such as the XBox Smartglass icon, have a colored background.
