jpgUtils.dll wanted ! [Resolved]

LogonStudio

Hi

can somebody send me via PM the jpgutils.dll file please !? LogonStudio installer does NOT install it and LS needs it to convert jpg files to bmp and NO, my AV is not involved in the disappearing act ! You might say I can go without it only by dealing with bmp files, I know, but no ! I still want the dll ! :waaaa:

Or maybe you know where I can find it ! I searched for an hour to no avail... ;P

Thanks in advance for your help !

its likely to be flagged and quarantined by your AV - otherwise it would not magically dissappear
if not simply reinstall logon studio and it should be there

Uninstall the old one first, run CCleaner then reboot. Download a fresh copy, reinstall, reboot again and that should do it. The reboot will insure your OS recognizes the files needed.

XP Pro SP3

If the pro is 64bit that might be part of your problem.  XP 64-bit was never really supported, don't know really how it might work out.

XP Pro SP3 32b

I said the AV was NOT involved ! The AV quarantine is empty !

I did a fresh reinstall of LS to no avail !

I send a call to anybody who have it installed and have the dll file ! Can you send me the file please ?

Thanks in advance for your help !

people are trying to help no need to yell.and sometimes avs will auto destroy a file and once that happens you wont see it in quarantine buddy as it doesnt exist

quarantines only if it requires your permission its a temporary hold but it still exists. but depending on your av program it could have just taken the initiative.

good example malware bytes removed something on my flashdisk no quarantine it just up and snagged cause it thought it was a trojan virus whatnot.

it was daz window loader actually.not a harmful program but still it detected and destroyed it

i only use microsofts firewall and windows defender.honestly they give more positives than many avs.most avs will give alot of things false positive and do what they see fit.did you use a registry cleaner? this would also prolly delete the file

Hi juggalofrost1 ! Me, yelling :omg: ? NO ! Forum users have the tendency to misinterpret capitals as yelling ! :| Unfortunate. The context should guide you and incite you to be more ciconspect ! I use capitals to "stress" my point ! NOT to yell. Big difference ! If I were to be yelling, don't worry, there would'nt be any equivocals ! Emoticons would lift any ambiguity !  |-)

Try this:

http://www.spyware-db.com/dll-j/jpgutils-dll.html

You can google more but this seems to be what you need.

Hi Uvah ! these kind of websites are dangerous as their main purpose is to "sell" (force) you to install a program that is usually unsafe to use; secially rearding registry manipulations. This is well known among security specialistsé Thank for the try !

This is an open call to users that have LogonStudio installed ! Please share your dll ! It would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advance for your help !

They can not simply share it, since its not legal.
I recommend you to contact support on work days, ask them if they can send it to you.

That .dll was also used by BootSkinXP.https://www.wincustomize.com/article/64790/

You may try downloading that program and installing it and see if you can snag the file from it. Due to BootSkin being unsupported I'd advise against actually using it, just install it , grab the .dll and uninstall it. You can grab BootSkin from  here.  Applying a BootSkin was sometimes an iffy process, so if you feel lucky........

Thanks Wizard1956 (from 1955) for the info but... just found the jpgutils.dll file in my system32 folder  ! dated from last week ! Though I did installed BootSkin today, it might have been installed with my LongonStudio 1.0.64 and 7 reinstallation last week I presume.

The weired thing though is that the installer do NOT install it ! See installation logs here and here !

Anyway, anybody looking for the jpgutils.dll file, email me and I'll give you a copy !!!

Thanks in advance for your help !

i think benmanns was stating its not legal because its technically part of a program hence it would be kinda on the lines like asking for a pirated software.

if its a generic file like that found in most programs itd be more legal but if its a dll made by stardock itself i could see how sharing something from a purchased product would be illigal.

honestly just uninstalling and reinstalling shouldve fixed issue as well as telling your horrid avs that loginstudio is not a virus or whatnot,so it stops removing them.

and people wonder why i use microsoft basic and not other avs.its because while windows defender can still give false positives it gives you an option to allow if you know its a false positive.most avs especially if you got them set on high risk will delete anything whether or not its a virus.

i got normal firewalls i got normal defenders and my modem has a built in firewall and you know what.my stuff doesnt mess up on me and i know im free of real viruses.im also old enough to know where av programs first got their hype, and know that most dont really protect you,in fact some send you a spam just so youll purchase the free items.unless you like to beleive your computer has thousands of viruses from a fully fresh wipe of windows.

ive seen many thats claimed that before and you dont have to even install shit ;P

No im not, its the way copyright works, if its embedded in the dll then sharing is NOT an option.
Glad that you got it working though.

@"You must be joking"
Im not the one using comic sans ;P

Hi benmanns ! illegal maybe BUT... legality must be in sync with "reasonability" in order to be respected ! :star: This legal restriction can be understandable for software developpers, I can fathom that... but NOT for end users that lost their dll ! I greatly hope you concur with that !  :sun:

BTW: I like using :P   ! They are not for "joking" (although one can absolutly use it for that purpose)... but to express emotions; states of mind ! That's why they are called "emoticons" ! If I say to you : "break a leg |-) " or "break a leg >:( ", I'm sure you can read the difference and fathom out the usefullness of what you call "comic sans" !

Thanks in advance for your help !
