Recent Items

Does showing Recent Items in Start10 work? I have it set to show it as a menu but the folder is always empty.

TIA

I have an issue with, no matter how many times I launch Chrome, be it from the all programs area, the desktop icon, the taskbar icon.  It never ends up in the recent programs part of the Start10 menu. I ended up just pinning it to the Start10 menu which as something I use often isn't a bad idea.  But for whatever reason it would never show up in the recent programs area.  Other things seem to.

Not sure if that's what you're talking about.

This is normal if chrome is pinned to the taskbar.  This is also how things work on Windows 7.

The logic is why have your recent apps filled up with things you launch from elsewhere.

i was referring to the "Recent Items" folder you can enable in Start10 that lists the recent documents you've opened, not the recent apps that appear on the Start menu itself.

I have just checked here and the recent items menu appears to be working just fine.  The folder it points to is maintained by the OS itself rather than Start10, so if the OS is not updating it for some reason it would suggest something may have been turned off in OS settings.

If you press Win+R and type recent and then press ok do you get a folder with any contents?  The path for that folder should be C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Recent
