Zappa, Broken Hearts are for assholes

Okay, so I'm a bit of a fan of yours...I like to follow you...but this one song you mentioned upset me only after I looked it up online and found the lyrics to it at;
http://www.lyrics.ly/lyrics.php/Zappa+Frank/Sheik+Yerbouti/Broken+Hearts+Are+For+Assholes

Frankly, I was horrified!

Even as a laugh, I find that in rather poor taste. Please tell me you don't think of women in that sense? :sniff!

Jenny: you can hardly blame Jafo if you are going to take the trouble to hunt down song lyrics. It's not as though he posted a link to them. I hardly think the song represents Jafo's view of women, it merely reflects his taste in music.

Does it really matter how Jafo thinks of women?

I'm sure he was more interested in what Zappa was doing on the guitar than in what the lyrics were....

I find it extremely astonishing when people find out that their "idol" or "guide" happens to have a bit different opinion or taste then they do... they start freaking in out in some way.

Sorry, my bad I guess.

I just always thought of him as sort of a hero type, you know, out to do good and stuff and that struck me as uncharacteristic of him. Didn't mean to raise a ruckus...I just felt the real Jafo wouldn't post that, like maybe he somebody was posing as him.

*grins* I can actually understand where you're coming from, Jenny - but.. it's Zappa. Not an artist you could lyrically take all that seriously. ^_^

Guess for reading that kind of stuff is not shocking to most people. To me I was afraid. Boy, I must be too innocent.

jenny, some artists out there are there only for the sole fact that they can be heard . Now, you didn't cause a ruckus of any sort, so don't freak out either . I was just stating an observation .

Sometimes, there is a lot more to the person behind the name he/she uses that none of us will ever know. Don't be too alarmed with things that are posted, because everyone has a different taste. It's nothing new

jenny, you want to bet I'm probably no older than you and I also idolize Jafo?

sides, Jafo's just ol Jafo any way you slice him, but with loads of salt to get ride of the gamy taste, ick

yeah Zappa's lyrics are um, an acquired taste for most.

I have the double CD set 200 Motels, and really like Joe's Garage

also, Zappa, Cooper and Ozzy kind of had this thing for a time, were the crudest was king

Paul: maybe you should change your nick to JAFI, "Just Another False Idol"!
that makes sense... but then again, "Just Another False Obession" sounds rather right too

Someone -did- accuse me of being a jafo-wannabe though
Reply #22 Top
/me seriously considered being an idol..........but settled for idle instead. Much easier!

Well, as for the crush, I date, so there's no "love" feeling involved whatsoever....that love belongs to someone else I know

and dammit BoXXi, you're an idol too, so there.....

*sighs* One day I will trick you all into idolizing -me-! er... I mean... I didn't post that 'aloud'! ^_~
