Game won't start after update

I switched on galciv 3 today and it said it was updating (even though I though 1.12 was opt in). It then went to the loading screen and stays there indefinitely. I have tried several times now and cannot get the game to start. There is no error message.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try the "verify integrity of game cache" to see if any files got corrupted. Rebooting is also a good idea just to rule out odd stuff happening, just in case you haven't tried these two things yet.
