Game Crash deleting buildings.

I am playing an insane sized map, A/A/A/A
I generated the game under 1.02 build.
Past turn 300 and 300 colonies, I started getting intermittent crashes when I try to destroy a building. By turn 304, and 346 colonies, I am crashing with every attempt to destroy a building.
I had the unfortunate experience this evening to have over 70 colonies finish their queue on this turn, and I was just about to finish setting colony orders when I came to a Drengin based planet I had culture flipped the previous turn. I had built a shipyard on that first turn. My plan was to destroy the forced labor camp the Drengin had built on a +3 manufacturing tile, and build one of my own factories. I forgot about the crashes and clicked 'Destroy" and screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" like a whiny bitch as 2 and a half hours of unsaved work crashed to the desktop....
Edit: That was my second crash tonight. Much earlier I had wanted to swap where I had built my military academy and my Planetary Defense Building upgrade to give a bigger bonus to my Orbital Defense Platform, but that was only 15 or so minutes after I sat down to the game.
