Ship list limited 500. Hundreds of starbases causes the game to crash.

I am playing the computer with one opponent.  I reached the malevolent stage where I could get 3 ships per planet for defense.  I had about 130 planets  so that is alot of ships considering what I already had.

 

With 130 planets and probably twice as many starbases, the game crashes if I go to that tab.
