After some time playing GalCiv3, my start menu pops thru the came

When the start menu shows up, I can't reach the "turn" button.   I know something outside of GalCiv3 has triggered the start menu, but there should be a way to force GalCiv3 to the foreground without saving, exiting, reopen, loading the game.

That's probably something to do with another background program demanding attention. Try disabling some of the stuff in your system tray before you play. Some programs do this if they are sent an update. ITunes goes further and will minimize anything your doing.

Alt + tab, close the notification app or set windows not to notify you of anything. This game runs in fullscreen windowed mode. So alt+tab isn't really necessary either.

The operating system is going to have priority over a game in windowed mode every-time.
