Desktop opens when Windows 8 App closes

I have Start8 configured to open to the Windows 8 screen. When I click on a tile it launches the app. When I click on the "X" to close the App the system goes to the desktop. Is there a way to have the Windows 8 screen open instead of the desktop?

On Windows 8.1 if the OS is configured to boot to the desktop initially it will always return to the desktop when an Modern UI app closes.

If you configure Start8 (or the OS - same setting), to not boot initially to the desktop you should find it closes the app and returns to the fullscreen start.

Thanks for the quick response. That is what I thought as well. But, I have Start8 configured to boot to the Windows 8 screen (not the desktop). Originally, I had it booting to the desktop. But I changed that setting and now the computer boots to the Windows 8 screen.
