[bug] Version1.0 and 1.01 Savegame/Autosave and Steam Synchronization issues crashes game

From the start of playing through the beta's I've had the problem that everytime I try to save a game under a given name, the first time it adds a ~sign in front of it, and I have to manually delete that to be able to get a proper savegame. (wondering if anyone else has this problem?)

This time I started a new game in 1.0 insane map something like 67 AI opponents. And somewhere around turn 449 things are going wrong. I can't save a game myself without crashing, and the auto-save mechanism also crashes the game now.

PS did a complete reinstall, still the same problem

Ticket: #KPJ-120-38565

Also something I noticed, wondering if anybody else has the same problems: when deleting savegames ingame. And exiting, steam should normally delete these savegames as well. But it doesn't, and after a restart it automatically synchronizes again, and all my old savegames which I wanted to delete are back again. Including suddenly having two auto-saves and two previous auto-saved (i guess one is the campaign auto save I started but not sure) after reinstalling the game.

I'm having similar issues. My save games disappear, but I'm stuck with some old saves from patch 1.0.

We are working with Valve on this. This isn't supposed to be the behavior for a game with cloud saves disabled (we disabled cloud saves because we were seeing issues like this). They are helping us figure out what is going on. I'll update when we know more.

Thanks for the update Derek. Glad to see you here! I loved FFH.

Hope it does have something to do with Valve/Steam and synchro tbh

Because I just had my second insane map game crashing at the exact same manner. Deep into the game this time at turn 490, I am the most powerful civ in the game, suddenly my influence drops dramatically (no idea why but it's on all borders so mine has shrunk??!); and auto-save crashed the game again...
