Ship Designer Description Box

Typing more than six lines of text makes it go off the screen.

Of course I have to start by saying what a fantastic job you have done with GC III. It's a brilliant game that I'm having a lot of fun with, especially in the designer. :grin: My issue is that the description box you can use in the designer to make up any old backstory about a ship can only fit about 6 lines of text. You can keep typing but you have no idea if there are typos and if you know you made one you have to delete all the way back. It also starts typing off to the right instead of going down once it goes off the screen. It seems like the box is a direct port from GC 2 as the very same issue occured there, not sure if that is the case or not.

 

I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this in GC3 or 2 even and if there is anything that can be done whether that be a patch or if it's actually on my end.

I'd like them to add "detailed" option for a description, so you have the basic one they have now that shows up when you look at a ship and a button to go to "Detailed" or whatever that opens up a new window that allows for a larger write up where you can have paragraphs and easily write and edit what you write unlike now.

Now that's a good idea. I like to be able to write up a big backstory to each design and how it improves but right now it can't be done which is saddening.
