[bug] Release Candidate 0.97 patch 2 Bug/Suggestions on Fleet Management/Behaviour in battle viewer

Not sure if all of them are bugs, but they are sometimes very strange:

- In the fleet management display on the main map suddenly data about shiphealth and ship available moves is gone. Also that of an opponent which causes problems when plotting attack vectors

- In regard to this, it looks like if you purchase/exchange technologies with other factions in midgame (f.i. extra hull maximization/capacity/cheaper parts) this has an effect on your already build ships as well (all suddenly have extra hull points left??, and I'm sure they are not all damaged for the exact same amount!)

- It's unclear how carrier fighter damage works; when destroyed but you win the battle do they repair instantly to full health/ when one is destroyed does it come back without problems the next battle? (looks that way)

By the way: carriers are way too powerfull imho. Get a group with 2 carriers and some capital ships in the back, and you can't lose any battle

- In regard to this point: how does the battle order work? I noticed all fighters splashing around the screen, but f.i. my capital ships have powerfull missiles but they simply don't fire them??

Again, wondering if anyone else noticed the same things

I think this is working as intended. you got a technology that boosts the max HP of your ships, but your ships don't immediately get that hp. they have to "heal" it up. (btw, heal is too slow and should be a % of total health)

unless your opponent has two carriers and better capital ships.

Sure, but I just noticed the AI not really reacting to your strategy. They keep pumping out large numbers of ships in late game, but no real updates on them, which makes it too easy to beat. For instance: I have a 'normal' game against the Krynn, which really annoyed me in the beginning with strong missile ships. Then I researched all kinds of anti-missile defences while cranking up my beam technology, got it onto ships. And they keep mass producing M1 to M3 missile ships without any shield technology.

What I meant with too strong is that, if you fi deploy a carrier  with 5 assault fighters  against an enemy ship; sure you can lose two fighters and win the fight. And after the battle your carrier is still there, without any loss to the hull strength and you can attack, again and again with full strength.

If you should do the same with one capitol ship the damage sustained will not go away and just heal with +1point per turn.

Well I think that ship healing isn't quite right. For small and tiny ships +4HP/turn is just fine. But if you have a ship with 150HP, it's can be OOC for 30+ turns. If that's intentional, then they should apply the same reasoning to carriers.
