Performance Issues

Hi Guys,

I wanted to ask if people also have Performance Issues with Galciv ?

I have 8GB Ram, I5-3550 CPU and AMD 7800 Series GPU.

Normally I play Huge, 10 Majors, some Minors, Pirates and everything Abdundant.

Suicidal for the AI.

The Beginning is fluent, at the Age of War(150) it starts to go down a bit until the Age of Acension (200+), the game gets unplayable now.

Everything takes Ages to load, Invasion screen and battle viewer occasionally dont load at all (Screen turns Black, Computer may crash completly).

Did anyone else also recognize this ? Or is my PC fucked up ?

Greetings and THX^^

No. I haven't experienced such problems yet (i7, 16GB RAM, 770GTX).

I've played games fluidly well into 300+ turns on Gigantic. However, I never use the battle viewer...

Btw, there are only 8 majors if I recall correctly?

If you look at the release note for 6.2 which is due for release this week I believe, it has some performance fixes and a huge number of memory leak fixes that will degrade performance over time. So hopefully that will help.

Another thing you might look at if that doesn't improve things is your cooling some components will clock themselves down if they get too hot and this game makes very high use of CPU and GPU.

Well I hope so ....

My Memory runs at 6.5Gb then and the CPU at 70% normally.

Maybe Ed because you have more RAM and better CPU...

It sounds if the games using 6.5Gb like it's an issue with memory leaks accumulating over time hitting performance they address lots of these in the 6.2 change log so fingers crossed that will help.
