B6 Invade planet screen bug

I got the same bug with the Yor.  I could click around but nothing would happen.  I tried rebooting a few times and nothing worked. 

I wonder if invasion is messed up in the new beta...really hope not!

If you keep blindly clicking on the right side you get lucky every now and then and invasion starts

I think the invasion/battle viewer screen bugs are memory related issues. Now that beta 6 has significantly reduced the map's resource drain it doesn't happen all the time now. Only after a while.

A fix that worked for me:

Rename or move the "Documents\My Games\GalCiv3" folder, or delete it if there's nothing in there of importance.

Then start the game, letting it generate a new folder.

Then copy the folder back, not overwriting.

It might have been due to Bloom - I usually have Bloom turned off, but in the default settins, bloom is on. This was mentioned (and fixed) in one of the recent updates (I think)
