Galciv3 process doesn't shut down

beta 5 patch 3

I shut down GC3 normally (I thought) and over a half hour later, after posting, I tried to shut down steam.   It complained that galciv3 was still running, and the Task Manager confirmed that it was.   I had to kill it from the TM.

Wondering if anyone else is having this issue with the new patch.   Going to watch it and if it occurs again I will document it and send a ticket.

I noticed this yesterday too. In fact, it looks like it's running right now from when I played yesterday. Was wondering why it sounds like my PC is running something...

It's not rnnning "full speed" --- my cpu temperature dropped about 20 C, but the gc3 process is hanging around.

Yeah it's not pegging my system to redline, but it's using an extra 15% CPU (i7-2600k @3.5 GHz), 763.2 MB RAM (out of 8 GB), and a bit of hard drive thrashing along with fan speeds to deal with the heat.

I see similar cpu usage, however, I see almost the full memory sticking in there 5-6 GB (out of 16 GB) and of course the hard drive and cooling fans :)

I was having this problem a long time ago and was told to run SFC which solved the problem for me.

I doubt all of us are having this issue because our windows files are corrupt...  If it was a 1 off or just a few, however, this is a common problem.
