Battle Viewer Erratic

Sometimes a black screen

I have submitted a ticket on this.

Around turn 250 (immense game with a number of opponents, a couple custom races and minors)  I have started increasingly to have apparently random problems with the battle viewer presentation.  It happens only once in a while, and I can reload the game without any other changes, do the same attack, and it may work!    When it doesn't I get a black screen.   I hear the battle sounds.   When they finish I have tried to exit the screen in two ways: first by remember the location of the "done" button (this doesn't work) or by ESC, which sometimes does nothing and sometimes gives an error message.

Curious if anyone else is seeing this --- I think I have seen related posts but I haven't been able to find them.   Maybe I need a lesson in "search", lol.

Is it the same problem I reported in this post?

Please take a look at that post and note the request from a developer for anyone else having the problem to open a ticket and send in the files they request.

Yes it appears to be the same, except you seemed to indicate that you were still seeing the main screen.   The other responders reported a black screen as I did.   I am sure it's the same bug though.

BTW, I have not had a crash when using auto resolve....yet.

And as I said, I have sent in a ticket (but thanks for the reminder, always  in order), hope it helps them get this resolved...I love seeing my ships blow up the ENEMY!

 

 PS I would like to move this to add on  to your thread but I don't even know if that is possible.  I do remember it but I just couldn't find it.
