Start8 Does not show Win7 Style

I didn't realize that Start10 was for Windows 10 only. I assumed it was an upgrade to the Start8 version. After installing Start10 I got a message that it was only for Win10 so I uninstalled it and did a reinstall on Start8. However now my start button will only go to the Metro style when I click on it. Does any one have anidea on how to fix this.

Also a suggestion for Stardock - check the Windows version BEFORE doing the install.

The installer should be detecting the OS.

I would uninstall start8, reboot and reinstall it.

I did that but will do it again and clean the Registry of all references to Start8/10 before a reboot.

After the uninstall I did a registry search on Start10 and found around 6 or 7 references, including the Start10 directory. Removed all of them, rebooted and reinstalled. All is well now.
