Do I need to uninstall start 8 to use start 10 and not break any rules? I dual boot into 8.1/10 and I don't want to break the EULA.

You shouldn't have to, although if you are using the Start8 beta on Windows 10, I'd certainly uninstall before installing Start10.

Why is that a bad decision? Only have the one machine and once 10 comes out I will only be booting to it.

Getting access to early betas has always been an advantage of being an Object Desktop subscriber. :)
