Failed to start game (missing excutable).

I have went to Steam to install GC3

It says it did but only saw 108.7 mb download, thought it would be more.

Download completed but meg pops up when trying to play.

Failed to start game (missing excutable).

Went to Steam support page online and tried their trouble shooting:

Delete the 'appcache' folder

"Run as Administrator."

Flushing steam application files

verifying your game files

None has worked

I have Windows 7 extreme edition R1 SP1

Intel core i7 cpu 920 2.67ghz

6 gb ram

32 bit os

Need to know what to do?

You need a 64bit OS, Win7 or up, to play GC3. It is one of the requirements listed. GC3 is coded in 64 bit mode.

As Lucky Jack noted, the game requires 64-bit windows to run; there is no 32-bit version. And I would strongly recommend using a legitimate version of Windows if you do upgrade.

the pc is 32bit so looking at a possible mb upgrade for one of his systems.

he purchased a laptop today and it is 64bit.
