Theme Manager

Problem: Code 123

Hello,

I am trying to use Object Desktop Manager to download and install Theme Manager (Free); however, I keep receiving the Error Message: "Problem: Code 123" after it has downloaded and begins the installation.

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Object Desktop Manager, and I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Any help would be much appreciated as I have exhausted my limited knowledge thus far,

Sincerely,

You can try going to the store and log-in. Download it as a separate program and see if it installs for you. That's the only thing I can suggest other than submitting a support ticket. If you submit a support ticket only submit one and wait for the reply.

Theme Manager is in need of updating.  My guess is that it is not compatible with Windows 8 or 8.1.  It is still however listed as being part of Object Desktop so I take it sometime here soon it will be updated.

I made Theme Manager Suites and uploaded them to the gallery.  I included a link in the description of each suite to the skins used.  My suggestion would be to just download them directly and then apply them.

Thank you both for the information and suggestions.  I will give it a try, see what happens and go from there. :borg:

End of Philly0381's quote

I have Win 8.1 x64 and managed to install [and use] ThemeManager without issue.  So it is compatible, from my experience, that is.

Now I'm not too sure here, but could it be that the installation of ThemeManager depends on the presence of the associated programs: such as WindowBlinds; IconPackager; CursorFX, etc?

@ CheyAnnee48.  I'm not 100% sure of this but it may be a factor if you don't have the suite of ObjectDesktop programs installed. Hopefully somebody with greater knowledge and understanding will offer you some assistance to resolve the issue.

Error codes generally have broad definitions and require SD Support to help define the problem more in individual cases.

The best advice is to Write to SD Support here: https://esupport.stardock.com/

or here: support@stardock.com

Try to give as complete a description of the problem as you can, and include the url of this thread as well as any screenshots which you feel might be helpful.

Keep the 'autoreply' as it has your ticket/case number. It will be in the email associated with your account. If it is not immediately visible, look in the 'spam' folder in that email account.

Do not reply to that 'autoreply' as doing so will push you to the end of the Support queue.

It might be Tuesday before an actual Support staff person gets back to you...that would be because Support works M-Fri, 9-5 EST, and not on weekends so there might be an accumulation to deal with before getting to your problem, but rest assured, you will be helped.

Hope all comes out well for you, CheyAnnee48.

Thank you both for the information.  I do have the Object Desktop in its entirety; however, I have just upgraded to Windows 8.1 Pro w/Media Center as some parts of Object Desktop don't seem to work without it.  I think I'll do as suggested, and contact SD Support.  I love trying to hash these issues out myself and within our Forums, but I just have too much going on at the moment and will acquiesce to the professionals.

Thank you so much for your help.  As always, very much appreciated.

On the Object Dock (which is kinda old) install will I be able to pick and choose what programs I want and not others.  I don't want all of it.  Hope that's clear

Yes, you only install the parts you want. You can choose not to install the rest.
