Network mapped documents folder - can't install

Hello, I'm trying to install DesKScapes 8 on my machine.

I have my Documents folder mapped to the Y: which is a network share.  When going through the setup an error pops up:

Y:

The setup cannot continue because the above drive does not exist.

I'm connected to the network, everything works, etc.

I've experienced a similar issue with Final Fantasy 14 and the "solution" is to move the documents back to a local drive and then install, and finally move them back to the shared drive.  I really don't want to go through that process.

I have had no trouble installing other Stardock software.
