We use Fences on several computers here at work. We also work out of SharePoint a lot. I would love to see a feature where we could create folder portals from SharePoint document repositories. Don't know if that's in the roadmap already or if there's even any real demand for it. Would make a great "enterprise" feature.
I think this can be done.
First, access to your Sharepoint folder using Windows Network, whis this guide:

Then, create the portal dragging the folder using the alt key onto desktop, as usual.
