Hello,
After setting up my Dad's new computer (including installing Start8/ModernMix to make it look more like the older versions of Windows he's used in the past), I discovered that my Dad's user account now won't let anyone access the "PC Settings" metro that is used for creating account pictures and other user settings.
The other accounts (administrator account for my Dad, second admin account for my use in troubleshooting) on my Dad's machine allow for this. But my Dad's regular non-admin user account is stuck with the generic person outline.
I've tried giving this account temporary admin permissions and that didn't work.
The "PC Settings" metro app launches and immediately minimizes into the task bar and will not unminimize. It will not close either. The only way to close the PC Settings app is to log out and log back in.
Is this a ModernMix issue or something else (e.g. Windows 8.1 bug)?
Thanks for your help with this.
