mouse pointer speed on primary computer gets reset to default

Hi,

I'm having an issue with Multiplicity 3.01.

If I move the mouse pointer from the primary computer to the secondary computer, then back to the primary computer, the mouse pointer speed on the primary computer gets reset to the default, middle setting.

I can change the speed again under Mouse settings in Windows Control Panel and it stays at the correct speed until I move the pointer to the secondary computer.  As soon as I bring the mouse pointer back to the primary computer, the speed is reset to the default.  I can do this over and over again.  Both computers are running Win 7 x64 and Multiplicity 3.01.  Both computers start out with the same (fast-ish) mouse pointer speed setting in Windows Control Panel.  Only the primary computer has the speed reset.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael

Which brand of mouse are you using?  MP will reset the speed when controlling another computer (or you get double mouse acceleration), but resets it back to whatever was set before you controlled another on switching back.  From what you are saying something is not picking up that reset back to your settings.

Are you ever losing control of the remote machine, or is there a pattern in when this seems to happen?

In testing here I couldn't reproduce any issues with resetting the speed and while there is one very old thread mentioning this, that was from 2008 and relates to a totally different version of the software which saved mouse speeds differently.

I had this same issue. It turns out that one of the secondary computers had Logitech Setpoint installed, and when I moved the mouse to that computer and then back to the primary, that's when my settings changed. I uninstalled Setpoint and restarted the secondary computer, and the problem was solved.
