Virus warning!

Hello Everyone!

I've recently found out that there are some horifying viruses working around on the internet... this includes internet worms that can travel through any kind of internet connections (mostly) and i've actually got my comp infected.. be sure to have a good anti virus software.. i recommand it

Note: if you let the virus jus swarm through your computer, it mite one day jus ruin its life like it did to my poor old thing... but after installing the antivirus software, im totally free virus now but gotta check it at least once a week! who knows if that virus has gotten in to my computer again! >

Hi Wassup, I've been using Norton's for years. I have their latest which is Norton's Anti-Virus 2003.
It has a much smaller footprint than previous versions and works great.
It has already deleted viruses and worms from incoming emails before they could reach me.
No virus or worm can get through it's defenses at any level of Internet and email use.
I strongly recommend it to any and every one.

Pretty much the same. They are doing some message board changes (you need the wincustomize browser to see them, though). That cuts down on the SB messages too.. But I understand you are in school!

Good to see you.

I have two email checkers which sometimes like to argue who is going to quarantine what.....Nothing gets through....not even an innocent Sonique installer....one of 'em decided it didn't like the compression algorith and kept deleting the damn thing.
But I was 'smarter', I disabled it and got the DL....trouble was I later forgot about it and on a reboot, the checker found it again and deleted it.
Never DID get that Sonique version....

i got a variant kak worm in my computer 2 years ago. Norton detected and identified all the components for me, but was powerless to quarantine or remove them. i keep an old floppy of pseudo-unix utilities which do all their own dirty work without calling anything in DOS or Windows. i was able to kill the worm files with those utilities. prevention is infinitely easier.

You have to keep your virus definitions updated for Norton's to protect your system... ever
heard of "Live Update?"...

yeah. but my daughter had an email attachment that Norton didn't like, and she opened it anyway because it was from a friend she knew. Norton can't protect me against my offspring.
