Purchased early versions in Gamestop now want to buy them from steam?

Hi, I do not live in the USA. Gamestop has now said that their SINS purchases are for US Downloads only. Does that mean I cannot download or play the game if I purchase it through them? I had bought the first 3 versions of SOASE through stardock that then became Gamestop. If I buy through Steam instead will it recognize my other purchases and will the games interact properly with each other?

If you bought from us prior to Gamestop's purchase of Impulse, you should be able to download the game directly from the Stardock store by logging in with the same account you used back then.

You cannot download from Steam without Steam keys, but if you want to get Rebellion you don't need any prior releases to do that anyway.
