Launch 8 and Start 8

Start 8 Vista desktop

I am interested in Launch 8, but am wondering if it works w/the Start 8 Vista desktop? I really hate the Windows 8.1 start menu/page whatever. Do I have to use the Windows 8.1 start menu?

If you are talking about the regular desktop on Windows, then no, Launch 8 only works on the Modern start screen as seen in the screenshots here.
