Start menu animation question.

So, I'm building a WB theme styled after an old set top box system called WebTV, later renamed to MSNTV. Now, the system's UI used these grey panels that would slide up from behind the status bar at the bottom, and a sort of whooshing sound would play as they slid. These panels are what I would like to style the start menu after.

 

My question is, would it be possible in WindowBlinds to animate the entire start menu to slide up from behind the task bar, or would other software be needed?

It would be a feat, and I see a big issue with vert taskbar , and how that would work.?

 

Otherwise, several layers to the start menu, and some animation layers, you could probably succeed, just let the vert be what is.

Also, an issue with the search box might occur, although, with some creative thought, you may get around that also.

I say yes, but have no idea what your talking about as far as the design, never saw what you refer too.

Good luck, always wanted to do a fully animated start menu, but never have dedicated myself to it, quite the job!

Like the sliding panels in some of the DX skins? I think it would have to be done with coding. I don't know about WFX having used it only once but it didn't play nice my system. That was a long time go.
