Help modifying skin

My system: Windows 8 (9200.win8_gdr.130531-1504) WindowBlinds 8.02 (022 - Windows 8 Edition) - 64 bit OS

 

I can not seem to figure out how to make myown skin.  I have created a texture using an image, and cn apply it etc.  My issue is with teh color of the images.  I'd like to use the original color of my image, yet o matter what I do, teh texture is always some shade of the skin I apply. 

I've messed with all the color settings, smart setting and nothing works.  Some skins work better than others, but to use my texure's original color illudes me. 

 

What am I missing?

Hey Broderp :sun:

Are you trying to apply a Texture you made from a picture to the Whole skin or just to some part using skinstudio ?

What format is the picture in ?

Make sure the TRANSPARENCY settings are set to your specifications. If the transparency is High the skin is going to bleed through making your texture less colorful.

And make sure you have all three boxes checked, use texture color, Apply to color and apply to grey.
